Contest is now closed to submissions.
Flash fiction: it's longer than a knock-knock joke, shorter than a short story, and for a short, sharp shock of narrative juice, there's nothing like it.
That's why ChiZine Publications has sent three of its finest short-fiction authors out on a hunt for the best little stories they can find, in ChiZine Publications' Flash Flash-fiction Contest.
CZP authors Robert Boyczuk (Horror Stories and Other Horror Stories), Claude Lalumière (Objects of Worship), and David Nickle (Monstrous Affections) will be poring over stacks of 300-word stories in search of the perfect flash.
The author of the best story will win copies of all three of the judges' story collections, and publication on ChiZine Publications' website. Second- and third-prize winners will be published on the site, too, and will get their pick of one of the judge's story collections.
Note: ChiZine and ChiZine Publications staff members are ineligible for this contest.
